The fruits of hard work
The day I joined Oriflame, March 17th 1998, was like a second birthday – it really was as if I’d been born again. Who would have imagined that someone like me, a simple mathematics teacher, depressed by poor working conditions and a dull routine, would one day rise to be head of one of the biggest networks in Morocco?
Everything started when a friend told me about the Oriflame opportunity and urged me to the Success Plan, which I did the same evening. I was intrigued by the prospect of earning extra income, of course, and especially by the logical way the Oriflame system rewards hard work.
Though still sceptical, I began visiting customers and looking for people to sponsor. Earning that much money, how could that be possible?
But when I earned my first performance discounts of 1,000 dirham – that’s about €90 – I was so happy and proud…it was true! I really could earn a living this way. It was then and there that I decided to take early retirement and set myself the goal of becoming a Director.
That first summer I worked very hard, and my first dreams began to materialize. I could barely believe it: my request for early retirement was accepted in September 1998, the same month I reached Director level. Nor was I ready to stop there: I already had the Gold Director title in my sights, and the cherished goal of travellling to Mecca, a lifelong dream fulfilled in May 2000.
Then why not Sapphire Director as well, I thought, and a new flat? Within the space of little over two years, these dreams too came true.
When, barely a year and half later, I reached my present rank of Diamond Director, I was able to pay for my sons’ university education and even buy a new car – the wonderful fruits of much hard work and God’s blessings. Today, I look forward to becoming a Double Diamond! My husband, who in the meantime has also taken early retirement, is working with me now, and we dream of buying a little farm one day.
I am grateful to God, who has given me the ability, patience and courage to fulfil my dreams. And of course I am thankful to Oriflame, who gave me the opportunity to start afresh, to rediscover my old joie de vivre and take on evergreater challenges with new self-confidence.
I’m also very grateful to my husband and sons, who have always supported and motivated me on my personal path to success at Oriflame. My heartfelt thanks also go to the Directors, Managers and Consultants in my network for their unstinting efforts – may their dreams come true just as have mine. Thank you, Oriflame, for brightening my life and allowing me to brighten the lives of others!
