No excuses!

portugal3

While preparing to host my first Oriflame beauty meeting, my hands were shaking but in my mind were pounding the words of Beatriz Mesquita, the person who started up Oriflame in Portugal: “No excuses”. By the end of the day, I had 12 new meetings scheduled, had sold a lot of products and my hands would never shake again.

I gained new self-confidence, began to believe in the products and repeated the beauty meetings to the point of exhaustion. Those days were the prelude of my success, helping me to meet many of the men and women who would be the pillars of my future business.

In October 1992, with the launch of the new Oriflame Plan, I suddenly saw my future. And the things I’ve learned and experienced in the process are what I try to share with people who are thinking of making a career with Oriflame. These people are very important for us, and I always try to emphasize that.

For me, Oriflame has always been a family business, allowing me to work at home and be with my three daughters and husband; all four respect me and respect Oriflame: the company has always been part of our lives.

Today, one of the reasons I work with Oriflame is to be able to retire early to my dream beach house – a small part of the great dream of helping Oriflame to become the leading direct sales company in Portugal.
When we get there, I’ll open a bottle of champagne – and I’m ready to write a book, but somehow can’t look at life without Oriflame and its people!

I feel I’m a special person because I’ve managed to take a lot of wonderful and beautiful people along with on my path to success. My life has changed and I’m a healthier and happier person because I managed to seize this excellent opportunity when it presented itself.
