What is the difference between UVA and UVB?
The rays of the sun which cause damage to both skin and eyes are the invisible UVA and UVB, both with wavelengths >400nm. UVB causes initial damage to the skin's outer layer or epidermis, as it has a shorter wavelength than UVA. However, UVA rays penetrate into the deeper dermal layers of the skin and can destroy skin fibres and elasticity causing long-term effects such as premature aging and wrinkles. Oriflame Cosmetics has a comprehensive range of high-quality Suncare products to help minimize the damage from these harmful rays, inclusing: Sun lotions and creams (SPF6, 10, 15, 20 and 30), an effective non-greasy SPF8 spray, an SPF15 sunstick (for use on nose, lips, shoulders), a moisturising after-sun lotion, and accessories such as a sun-visor.
Promoting the safer option, Oriflame Cosmetics also produces a range of self-tanning products with easy application that provide a natural safe tan.
