Are Oriflame products alcohol-free?

Most Oriflame skincare formulations are alcohol-free. However, some products (such as facial toners) contain “denatured alcohol” which, if incorporated into formulations for oily/problem skin, can have a positive drying, antibacterial effect.

Alcohol is denatured by adding a substance such as butyl alcohol to pure ethanol, and its taste is altered by adding “bitrex”, thereby rendering it undrinkable and available for commercial use. Note: A number of formulations include cetyl alcohol or sterol alcohol. These are fatty acids and have no physical or chemical similarities to ethanol/methanol.
