How does Oriflame protect the environment?

Oriflame Cosmetics is committed to conducting its business in a manner which demonstrates respect for the environment. Oriflame strives to use ingredients that are derived from renewable plant sources and are produced with minimum impact of the environment. In addition, all Oriflame foaming products (e.g. bath, shower and hair) are easily biodegradable. As expected from Oriflame's natural, pure, simple, clean outlook, all products are manufactured in accordance with Good Environmental Practices and in compliance with all relevant national and local regulations.

It is Oriflame Cosmetics policy to utilise product packaging which has a minimum environmental impact. PVC is no longer used and has been replaced by alternative plastics, the majority of which are recyclable. The main material used is identified to aid recycling.

Oriflame Cosmetics Accessories are now developed using environmentally friendly materials. PVC has been phased-out, and alternative materials including wood-free paper, recycled paper and recycled glass have been introduced.

Oriflame Cosmetics has introduced a phase-out of all uses of PVC in the manufacturing process, culminating in a complete ban by December 2004.

Oriflame strive to reduce waste by frequently packaging products simply in a tube or jar, not enclosed in cardboard. Oriflame also advocates the "Third R", reuse, and a number of products are available as refills and jumbo sizes.
